In the spring of 1873, construction of a brewery began in the city of Vratislavice, taking into account the well-established transport links and an excellent source of drinking water, and on January 22, 1874 its grand opening took place. The plant’s development phase occurred in 1885, when the plant produced more than 60,000 hectoliters per year. Within two years, the Konrad Vratislavice brewery took second place in the list of the largest breweries in the Czech Republic. Active modernization of the plant began: a railway line to the plant was built, storage facilities were increased, and equipment was modernized.
At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the brewery began to actively compete with the emerging aristocratic mini-breweries, but its equipment and quality beer successfully led the race. Despite global events, the Konrad Vratislavice brewery continues to actively develop.
