The Privatbrauerei Eichbaum Gmbh brewery is the oldest brewery in the city of Mannheim (the second largest in Baden-Württemberg).
The plant was founded back in 1679 by a native of Belgium, Jean de Chene, who gave the new enterprise his name: translated from French “chêne” means “oak”, which in German sounds like “eichbaum”. Over its centuries-old history, the brewery has changed its location several times, but never stopped working. The hard work paid off: today Eichbaum is the largest brewery in Baden-Württemberg and one of the most modern in its industry in all of Germany.
The high quality of the drink is controlled by our own research laboratory. The brewery annually receives the International Food Standard certificate. Beer from Eichbaum has repeatedly won prestigious awards at famous beer competitions, including the gold medal of the German Manufacturers Association DLG, whose authority is recognized throughout the world. Today the company exports its products to 50 countries around the world and remains one of the leading exporters among family breweries in Germany.
